What are meals like at camp?

Our professional kitchen team serves delicious, well-balanced meals that are kid-friendly and healthy.

For breakfast there is always a hot item option along with cereals, fruit, milk, and juice.

For lunch and dinner, a high protein main entree is served along with vegetables and fruit. A dessert option is also offered at the end of dinner.

While our counselors and staff members encourage campers to try new foods (and to always eat their veggies!), we do have offer alternative meal options that are more simple and familiar; what those look like depend on dietary and allergy needs of the session.

Meal times: 
Breakfast 8:00 am 
Lunch: 12:30 pm 
Canteen: 3:30pm
Dinner: 5:30 pm

What if my camper has specific dietary needs?

Accepted Answer

With notice, we can accommodate Gluten Free, Dairy Free and Vegetarian/Vegan needs.

If your camper has a specific food allergy or other dietary need, please be as specific as possible when indicating that on their camp health history during registration. We also suggest that you reach out to us and ask for our chef, who will be glad to speak with you about accommodating your camper’s needs. We will ensure that our entire staff is aware of your camper’s dietary needs.

Hydration at Camp

At camp, we take hydration very seriously. Our campers spend all day running around having the time of their lives and often forget that they need to hydrate their bodies.

We have a few ways of combatting this throughout their busy days at camp:
If a camper has lost or forgotten to bring a water bottle, we will provide them with one for the rest of the week. 
All around campus, we have hydration stations placed at every single activity that they are going to. 
Our camp staff make sure that they are staying hydrated by making toasts, encouraging campers to drink more water, and making sure that they are being good role models by staying hydrated themselves. 
If they are hiking, canoeing, or camping, we make sure to bring several coolers so that they stay hydrated. They are not able to continue on to the next thing until their bottle is fully filled up.
