SUMMER CAMP: FAQs
At St. Dorothy’s Rest our counselors are the coolest ever! They will always be there for you when you need it. They are fun, kind, silly and a really great shoulder to lean on when you need it.
If you are female-presenting you will likely stay in Main House and if you are male-presenting you will likely stay in Miriam. We also offer a gender-neutral cabin if enough campers sign up for it.
We can’t promise that you will be able to bunk with a friend or sibling, simply because our cabins are separated by different age groups. If you are between 8 - 10 you will stay in a younger kids cabin, while if you are 11-12 you will stay in an older kids cabin. If you two are in the same age range, you can absolutely pick bunks next to eachother!
All kinds of things! There's tie-dye, swimming, canoeing, hiking, and so much more. Every day is filled to the brim with fun activities and we hope to see you here this summer!
At camp we like to call our rules fun-lines and you can go over them with your guardian in your camper and guardian packet.
We do NOT allow phones at camp. They take away from the fun and social aspects of camp. You’ll be so busy having fun you won’t even notice that you don’t have your phone!
It is completely normal to feel homesick at camp and luckily, our camp counselors are right there to help you feel better. If you think you’ll be homesick at camp, make sure to bring family photos, letters, or anything that may bring you comfort.
Not to brag, but at St. Dots we have the best food ever. We promise that you won’t have to eat anything wacky, but you do need your fruits and veggies! We provide all three meals and a snack every day that you are at camp.
