Evensong Service

Join us at Grace Cathedral for a special service of Evensong celebrating 125 years of ministry at St. Dorothy’s Rest. Together, we will give thanks for the generations of campers, retreat guests, staff, volunteers, and supporters who have made St. Dorothy’s a place of rest, connection, and transformation.

What Is Evensong?

Evensong is a centuries-old tradition of evening prayer in the Episcopal Church, bringing together Scripture, music, and prayer in a beautiful, reflective service. Often sung by a choir, it offers a chance to pause, reflect on the day, and reconnect with what matters most. Whether you are familiar with the Episcopal tradition or attending Evensong for the first time, you are warmly welcome.

Celebrating 125 Years of Ministry

For 125 years, St. Dorothy’s Rest has offered people a place apart from the demands of everyday life—a place to encounter the beauty of creation, deepen their faith, build community, and experience transformation.

Our anniversary is an opportunity to remember the people and stories that have shaped this ministry, give thanks for all who have sustained it, and look with hope toward the years ahead. We celebrate not only our history, but the lives touched by St. Dorothy’s and the ministry that continues today.

Giving Thanks for Patty

During this special gathering, we will also recognize Patty for her service as Interim Director of St. Dorothy’s Rest. We are grateful for the time, care, and leadership she has given to this ministry, and we look forward to celebrating her contributions with the St. Dorothy’s community.

Stay for the Celebration

Following the service, please join us for a reception with food and fellowship. It will be a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with friends, meet others who share a connection to St. Dorothy’s, and celebrate this milestone together.

We hope you will join us as we give thanks for 125 years of ministry and look ahead to the next chapter of St. Dorothy’s Rest.
