Rest & Resistance
Lenten Retreat: March 19-21, 2026
In a world of relentless deadlines, grind culture, and the 24-hour news cycle, rest is an essential, yet increasingly elusive, spiritual practice. Often viewed as an act of passivity, rest can be considered an act of resistance from cultural and political institutions that demand productivity and attention at all costs. In this retreat, we will look at rest through scriptural, theological, feminist, and womanist lenses. We will also explore embodied practices of rest in the beautiful and peaceful environs of St Dorothy’s.
Single Room Rate: $400
Double Room Room Rate: $320
Registration includes two nights at St. Dorothy’s and five meals, beginning with dinner on Thursday, March 19 and ending after breakfast on Saturday, March 21.
Our time together will include facilitated discussion, spiritual practices, free time, and prayers in the redwood chapel.
The campus of St Dorothy’s will be arranged to provide spaces for silence, conversation, creativity, movement, and other forms of Rest and Resistance. All are welcome.

Camp Comeback
For families, friends, and everyone in between! Let your inner child come out and experience camp magic once again. This year comes with a special twist. We’re kicking off the year with a color wars fundraiser that directly supports St. Dorothy’s Rest. There are four different generations who are all going to “compete” in different challenges that all benefit camp in some way. The winning generation will be announced on the last day of Camp Comeback after a weekend of some good ol’ fashioned camp fun. Come see old friends and make new ones, have fun doing camp activities, and experience your love for summer camp again!
